Although I don’t have the board yet. The minute a DF Hammer comes available this will be the board for me to go….Until then I just ride my Heritage, West, West Bound, East and Swift split 🙂

If I could have called Neversummer and had them make me a custom board for this season it would pretty much this exact board.

I’m 5’ 8 185lbs with a uS size 10.5 boot and I went with the 157X . I got The Hammer this season as my do anything daily driver, and I went with the wider model because I prefer to have minimal toe and heel drag so I can really lay the board over. The modern camber is perfectly balanced, it feels locked in but at the same time doesn’t have a catchy feel to it. It seamlessly likes to transition from edge to edge and helps me feel more confident riding in more icy conditions.

Thankful for the slight 5mm taper in the tail and the 1 inch set back, because I prefer a more directional feel, it just makes carving way more fun and gives you more float in powder. The flex matches what the board is designed for, it has a progressive flex from tip to tail, it’s noticeably softer in the nose and stiffens up through the tail. It’s pretty much perfect, you get enough flex to press or butter the board but you get landing gear and snap in the tail for pushing hard into carves and stomping landings.

Riding switch is very do-able, and I’m sure it would feel even better if you centered your stance and wanted to maybe ride more switch one day or in the park.

If you can get your hands on this board you will not be disappointed.
Thanks Neversummer for dropping The Hammer this season.

      Thx Aria! You hammered it…
