Product Details

Our split specific Touring Ripsaw Rocker Camber profile provides maximum performance on the most technical lines. This profile extends camber to a high contact flat zone directly under the touring bracket for incredible uphill traction while providing stability for the descent. The Atom’s early rise nose and taper makes it excellent for POW and even better for those days you’re dreaming of.

This board saved my splitboarding soul! I learned to ride on a NS Proto HD, spent nearly every trip on that deck for seven years. When it was time for splitboarding, I tried my local factory… not NS. Try as I might, the “all camber” board just did not make sense to me on the descents! I wanted something that felt like my daily driver, but better, for backcountry laps. THIS IS IT! I sometimes pull the Atom out for park days, if the powder is deep and my Proto is a bit outgunned. This board feels FANTASTIC. It’s stiff, wide, floaty, and still totally maneuverable. I added the canted pucks to my Spark bindings and it rides soooooooo well. It carves, it floats, it even flicks over moguls, albeit in a slightly heavier package. I am set up with a slightly set-back stance, which just makes this thing a powder chasers dream, but I can still flip ‘er around and ride switch with no worries, and on packed powder days you ca just point and shoot… the board will not be the first to shudder when you cross the 50MPH mark… NICE JOB NS! I can now enjoy the backcountry 100%! (and yes, the uphill is EXCELLENT too).

Best big mountain split you can buy. Super stable while pointing fast tight exits out a big line, and floaty making soul turns on a big face. I’ve used this board on everything from firm corn to the deepest of the deep pillow lines and it has always provided a smooth durable ride. The way the touring brackets are laid out give you a little more grip getting up those frozen spring skin tracks. This board can take whatever you can throw it’s way.

      Thx Kit. Well said.
