Just picked this board up and had a chance to get out and put it through the ringer. I am a bigger guy 6 foot 235 pounds size 12 boot. This board is absolutely insane! The pop you experience in carving with it is like nothing else and so much fun. The spring conditions presented various conditions, slow slushy snow and ice. The board did not miss a beat on either, this thing graded so well on the ice conditions and with the wet snow this thing still flew down the hill and the comfort at high speeds was great, felt so in control. This board is so well designed with the extra layer for stiffness for bigger guys such as my self. I am so looking forward to putting this thing back through some more runs. But if you are looking at this board, I give it 10 out of 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Well done Never Summer, I am a fan now!

‘This board is absolutely insane!’ Thx Randy!

I bought a RS in spring 2019 specifically to replace a stiff camber board (from another manufacturer) I had fallen out of love with. Not coincidentally, my love affair with the other board ended after spending the majority of the 18-19 season on a newly purchased Insta-Gator. Having experienced the playfulness of the gator, I just couldn’t go back. That said, I ride mostly in New England and – the rumors are true – it can get a wee bit icy. East riders need a board that will handle that stuff, and that’s where the insta shows one of its few (IMHO) limitations. But, of course, there was no way in hell I was setting that gator free. Then a friend let me take a run on his RS in some semi-soft spring snow and I was impressed, so I threw down when they went on sale late-season. It wasn’t until the start of the 19-20 season that I got the RS out on the hardpack, and I was concerned it might not have the bite of my camber board. Yeah, right. I was (and am still) amazed by the conditions this board can handle. You wanna lay out big carves on bulletproof “snow”? Noooooo problem. And I swear to the snow gods it feels more stable at speed than any other board I’ve ridden. The beautiful thing is – unlike the board it replaced – the RS still has some of the playfulness of softer boards like the gator and prototype 2 (I now own one of those as well) and turn initiation is way smoother and easier than it should be for a board with this kind of bite! It’s also quite versatile and performs pretty well in pow and irregular stuff, though I typically choose other tools from my NS quiver on those days. Long story short, I don’t always ride hardpack, but when I do, I prefer a Ripsaw.

‘I don’t always ride hardback, but when I do, I prefer the Ripsaw.’ Awesome. Thx Byron!

Just took my new Ripsaw for a long weekend at Big Sky. I absolutely love this board! We started the day with groomers and this thing handled great. Great edge control no matter what speed. We use an app to track our riding and I hit 48 mph on a run and had superb edge control the entire time. Moved over to Liberty bowl the next day and this board handled great in the new snow. I was dying to get my first NS and the Ripsaw didn’t disappoint.

      Thx Brant!

Finally retired my 2001 legacy NS and upgraded to the Ripsaw. What a difference 20years can do I went from feeling like 41 to 21 yrs old again. Speed , flex , control , it did everything I wanted with no limitations super stoked I couldn’t have imagined a better board thanks again NS the best all mountain board out there I’m glad to be part of the family after all these years

    • Chris Harris

      …part of the family…thx Matt

Being a heavy set 250+ weight rider at 6’1, this board is by far my favorite that I’ve purchased. Being a Texan I only get to carve during the season for maybe a week at a time and all I have to say is that it is super easy to pinpoint skills from last season! My new go to all around board for sure!

    • Chris Harris

      Thx Brian!

Absolute ripper of an all-mountain board. Lays a mean trench with no washout, floats through the powder effortlessly and will butter a run like it’s your morning toast. Construction is on-point with some of the best graphics I have personally seen, all while rockin’ a steezy top sheet texture. Meanest looking board of the 20/21 season.

    • Chris Harris

      Mmm…toast. Thx Jason!

The Ripsaw is the 4th NS snowboard in my quiver. After researching the various profiles, I purchased this board specifically for its dynamic dampening system & the bite of that Ripsaw Rocker camber. Simply put, it’s the perfect snowboard for Ski Patrol. The sidecut tore up the hardpacked groomers and the deep spoon helped it float through the glades on the way to the terrain park. The Ripsaw is incredibly versatile with a playful snap that is just as suited for speed as it is for abuse on those freestyle days in the park.

      Thanks Joshua!

I was finally able to try this board this weekend. Amazing! Great job guys, this board is very stable on high speed. A lot of fun. Can’t wait to keep having fun this season. I won’t buy anything else but never summer

    • Chris Harris

      Thx Luis!

  9. Michael Miller

This is my all time favorite all mountain board! With the Ripsaw camber rocker you can absolutely rail on groomers and hard pack, and somehow still float on a powder day. Not only that, it will keep your feet under you and cut right through chowder and chop. The Ripsaw is also a really fun board in the park as well, playful and has a ton of pop. This is a true “all mountain” board.

    • Chris Harris

Well said Mr Miller. Thanks very much!
